Taffeta (pronounced /ˈtæf.ɪt.ə/, formerly sometimes spelled taffety) is a crisp, smooth plain woven fabric made from silk or synthetic fibers. The word is Persian in origin, and means “twisted woven.”

Yummy. Nothing makes a fancy frock like Taffetta – it just sits up on its own so well! Another project on the to do list.
